Verses Philadelphia

Beware, there are a TON of pictures this go around.  First of all because it's actually on time being put in, but also because it was part of the best night ever!  It totally wasn't planned, but who am I to let the opportunity pass me by.  That day was a youth day and they actually had Megan Rapinoe from the US Women's National team there signing autographs beforehand.  You could buy tickets to do this, which I didn't care to do.  Apparently, Marcia's niece and her friends did do this.  One of her friends, Hope, asked a question that Megan really liked and she got to present Megan with a game ball before the game, which meant Hope got to go down to the field.  Her parents weren't going to the game and she needed an adult escort.  Marcia didn't want to, so it took a huge effort for her to twist my arm to do this - NOT!!!!  It was kind of funny as we were meeting up with each other and I became Hope's honorary aunt for the evening.  She was so cute.  I had total permagrin all night.  Sleep did not come easily.    So, there are lots of professional pictures, as well as warm up shots from my camera - I will edit them and send you to facebook if you want to see them all.

The most important part of it all is, we won.  It was a two-one victory.  Beckerman's goal was a thing of absolute beauty and then he got the assist on Schuler's goal.  It was such a good time.  I would love to relive this night over and over again.

And I was standing right behind these guys during the National Anthem.  It was incredible.

Celebration dance.  It's fun to watch the replay of it.

I actually gave Hope my camera to take pictures (I used my cell phone).  Again, it was so much fun to do this and it was probably a good thing that I had to be a grown up and so I didn't make a huge fool of myself.

We look good down here, right?  I could get used to being here a lot.

The team coming out of the tunnel:

I could use more nights like this.  Thanks, Hope and Marcia, for letting me have this opportunity!
