One of the best things was getting a phenomenal deal on the hotel. I Love Priceline! I totally have to brag here. When I looked it up, our $40 a night hotel was actually $104 per night. We already had figured out it was a great deal when we walked into the lobby - it was phenomenal. The pictures are of our room, but they don't quite catch the whole essence of it. Mainly because you can't seen the nice and relaxing colors.
Our beds and desk - not that we ever used it. Yep, it's a big plasma/flatscreen television.
Our own little relaxation corner - in case you didn't want to sit on the nice beds in order to chill out.
There was even a little entry way. We did have a down fall when we came back the first night to discover that our key wasn't working. Actually it wasn't working to the point that they had to call one of the managers at home to come in and fix it. It was just a random electronic thing. The hotel was only ten months old, I guess there could be some glitches still.
The first night we saw Annie. It's a pretty amazing stage and the things they do are pretty fun. In all honesty, Annie was just kind of a bonus play for us, we really wanted to go down for the second night. It was still incredible. I forgot how much I tear up when I hear "Maybe." I was fighting tears again. Melissa and I hit up one of our neighbors to get a picture together - and then we turned around and did the same for them.Thursday we did a little bit of sightseeing before the play. We did part of the walking tour.
Of course, there does always seem to be a courthouse on a walking tour. Little known fact - at least for me - the galley on the top of the courthouse here was set up for hangings should that be the sentence. Apparently it could be quite immediate after the sentencing. The tourguide there didn't think they had actually used it for that purpose, but she didn't seem 100% sure about that.
The jury box. I would really hope it was a short trial because those seats definitely did not look comfortable - but if you can hang someone shortly after their trial, I don't imagine they go on for days like they do know.
The Judge's bench. I'm pretty sure the pretty quilts weren't there when this was being used, but maybe they did back then. One thing that hasn't changed over the years, the Judge still gets the most comfortable chair in the courtroom.
Again, things have definitely changed. How would you like this to be your jail cell?
When was the last time you saw a phone booth - let alone a cool red one? It was just kind of in the middle of the square. Obviously, it's not well used - since there's no phone included. Part of the joys of cell phones, perhaps?
I am not necessarily a car person, but I do think old cars are just about the coolest things in the world. I'm not going to ever restore one or try to buy one, but I love trying them out!
The full old fire truck. As cool as it looks, I am glad that we don't have to depend on this to put out fires nowadays.
Gazebo outside of Brigham Young's winter home. I couldn't go too far in because there were spider webs all over the place - and I am opposed to purposely keeping company with spiders.
Cotton bloom - I did not realize that St. George used to be a cotton place, but it's not a bad thing to learn new things, even on vacation.
And we even got to eat an almond fresh off the tree. It's a little bit too much work for me to do that daily, I'll keep just buying them in the store.
Chilling on the back porch.
There was some of the coolest furniture inside the house. This was in the entry way. I think it kind of looks like a day bed, but I assume it probably had another name.
I loved this piano! I actually always fall in love with the instruments. But I truly do think this one is absolutely gorgeous. I would always like to play on them - not that I can play anything fabulous, but just to say I'd played on it would be great.
I was so born in the right time. I actually do like sewing - not that I do it very often - but, I am really glad to have an easy electric machine. Actually, I just like easy in general.
Isn't that a beautiful hutch?
The house from the front porch. It really is quite pretty.
I thought the tree was cool. It was struck by lightning so there's this great big chain in the middle that allowed it to keep growing.

I thought the tree was cool. It was struck by lightning so there's this great big chain in the middle that allowed it to keep growing. We went up early to Tuacahn to take pictures.
Entry - it's just an absolutely breathtaking.
This goes all the way up to the top of the entry - I'm not describing it very well, am I?
Getting ready to see Footloose. If you ever watch So You Think You Can Dance (I don't remember which season), Thayne Jasperson was Ren. It was so much fun! They did a great job - and we had front row seats which was fun as well. It's so hard to stay in your seat and not dance along with them.
The view as we left the amphitheater. It was absolutely beautiful.
We had to take in a session at the St. George temple. It's pretty cool to think about all of the work that was put into this and such sacrifice. The quality of work is not matched today. How cool is it that this is actually all red rock.
Taking a picture with the Christus in the visitors' center.
Then it was on to the Tabernacle. Again, it's incredible what the pioneers were able to do - and we can't match it today with all of our technology.
It really is pretty with all of the lights.
Can you find the "S," "G," and owls in the lamps? They don't know if it was on purpose but it's all there if you look close enough.
