Touring

It's Parade of Homes time. I got back from my trip in time to do one day with Mom, Chris, and Gabriella. I'm finishing the houses they had already seen on my own. I can't say I really saw anything that I absolutely loved, although there were some really nice things. The big thing we learned, at least here, in order to have a green house, it's got to be ugly. Granted, the fact that they've decorated them completely contemporary and I'm kind more eclectic with liking some of it mixed in, didn't help. They really did feel quite sterile as you went in. One guy was so excited about his house he gave us the tour. I am not a big fan of concrete floors - all through out. It was just incredibly uncomfortable, but he's all green. I do love doing these home shows if for no other reason then I get to see lots of things I like and don't like. It will take awhile before I actually want to use that knowledge in buying a home, but Mom found lots of places she thought I would look good in.
