Busy Day . . .

but how much fun it was! Chandee and I actually decided to make a weekend of it and do a relaxing night at a hotel. Then we started the day by going to Desert Star for the latest play. It was hilarious, as always. Laughter was so very much needed. And, just to add to the fun - I got to have some guy dumb his drink on me and my food, and didn't even acknowledge that it had happened. So glad we were at a place that doesn't serve alcohol so I didn't have to smell like that.
Then we tried out a new theater (well, new to us) and saw All Shook Up. I have the soundtrack and absolutely love it. Part of me loved this production, but at the same time I was a little bit disappointed because I wanted higher quality for my first experience with this show. Yes, I know I sound like a huge snob. But, it was also because I didn't realize that this was at kind of a high school acting program - and not the best one around. Anyway, I would still love to see more of this play and probably will whenever I get the chance.

The evening ended with a game. This time against the Houston Dynamo. I am always excited about games, but I was especially excited this time because Russ brought his cute family down. Since I have become obsessed (there's just no other appropriate word for it), I have totally wanted to share it. It was so fun seeing Zach with his red mohawk. The kids decided they really liked #3 because of his name - Robbie Russell. Then there was also a lot of love for Beckerman and Rimando. I would have loved it even more if it would have been a win result instead of a 0 - 0 draw, but it apparently wasn't meant to be.
Olave goes for the tackle.
Grabavoy in on the action - I really do think he is one of the most underrated players in the league, definitely on the team.
Williams and Grabavoy in for the kill.
Our preseason acquisition, Alvarez. I don't necessarily think I have seen enough of him to say how much I love him. He's been away a lot for his National team.
Collin Warner - one of the players who has been getting some extra play time because of Morales' injury. I don't think he's been very consistent.
Sabo gets attacked.
Going for the ball.
Fighting for the ball.
A little on field discussion - sure there is a disagreement on what the call should be. We seem to have a lot of those.
What could possibly go wrong here?
Reacting to a missed shot.
Russell getting a yellow card - which of course we didn't agree with. Don't agree with the fact that the player popped up as soon as the card was issued either.
Trying to get in on the ball - so it's not always successful.
