Every year, the big rivalry for us is against Colorado. apparently, this was our second game in the series, but, truthfully, I don't remember the first game of the series. We won both game, I think even with the same 2-0 score. There is still one more game in the series, but unless they come out and beat us 0-5, which can happen, than it's a given the trophy is ours. Or maybe they decided to keep it a two game series. Anyway, we got with goals from Saboria and Johnson. Sabo's goal was in slow motion, kind of insane, just how slow it was, not the beauty of this one. I was thrilled Johnson finally got a goal, the man is a work horse. Beckerman couldn't play because he got a red card in the last game, after once again defending Javi. I assume he was probably somewhere at the Stadium. The fireworks were fun after. The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been if Justin Braun, newly acquired from Montreal and home town boy, had gotten some playing time, but it just wasn't meant to be this go around. You can't help but cheer for him. He doesn't know how to go halfway in a game and totally deserved the goal. It was so great to see him finally get one this season.
It did seem like there were a lot of random time on the ground. It was kind of weird to watch.
And the cup stays in Salt Lake. Beckerman has now been on every team that's won the trophy since it's inception.
