It was an interesting game this go around. (I was trying to upload these in some kind of order, but the blogger uploader had different ideas.) The game started and about three minutes in there was a weather delay because of severe thunder. The delay lasted 1 hour 22 minutes. One must wonder if the outcome of the game would have been different without the delay. But, as is, we won 1-0, had one goal called back because of a supposed foul, and there were six yellow cards given - three for each team. Some of them were quite ridiculous, including the one given to Wingert which will now cause him to miss our next game in Houston because of yellow card accumulation. (Plus we'll be missing three players who got called up for National team duty - Beckerman (USA), Saborio (Costa Rica), and Johnson (Canada). Rimando also got called up for USA, but he'll get to play and hen leave for National duty.)Maya and I waiting out the storm. She got scared during the storm, so she went with her parents. I just enjoyed the time I got with her.
Zach was nice enought to trade seats with Maya, so I got to spend the majority of the game with him. It was so much fun listening to him cheer and yell. I would love to have him come again at any time.
It looks pretty impressive. It was a very good reason to get all of us off the field and under cover.
Johnson scored our goal. It was a beauty. He works so hard every game, I love it when he scores.
I think Sabo must have a lot of friends on this team, because there were always lots of hugs being given to him.
Rimando had some monster saves, and if he wasn't there other members of the backline were there.
