Gateway Fun

Since they didn't use my call in, I was able to meet up with Shauntell and the kids at The Gateway for a little while before I went back to the game. The thing I didn't remember when she called to arrange this with me was that it was also the weekend for the Chalk Arts Festival, the Adoption Foundations annual fundraiser/activity. So it was crowded, but it meant there were some extra things for the kids to do while Shauntell got her phone fixed. And, good like finding which kids I am related to in there. I know AJ's there, but I am not sure if there are others, at least in this shot.
Maya and Zach trying out some of the booths. It wasn't too difficult, you got a prize just for trying, which I kind of think is how these things should be!
AJ waiting for her turn.
Maya was just a little bit too cool and wouldn't pose for a picture. They had some concerts and games going, and it was just some nice free things, which always fits nicely in the budget. Before we went our separate ways, we ran into Build A Bear. I have to say, I was very disappointed in the service there, but that's because I know how we are supposed to treat customers in our store and we didn't get any of that.
