It's still hard for me to believe that Zach is eight now (or that his big sister just turned 12). Poor guy didn't necessarily have the very best day as his head met the step at his friend's house and he got twelve stitches, but he was still all smiles for his big day, even with the faint black eye. You could tell he was excited and I know we were all so very proud of him on his decision. He truly is a great and amazing kid. After there was a brunch at their home. Apparently our family specializes in doing crepes for these. It's actually a pretty easy thing to do for a party and they tastes so very yummy.
Our little skinny minny. AJ is growing up way too fast. It was great to hand off the camera and let her run with it. It's always fun to see what happens when I get the camera back - and here are some of the results.
Grandpa helping out in the kitchen and being caught in the action.
I think she was caught a little bit off guard.
Into whatever they happened to have going on television. This is something you don't interrupt.
Close up of one of the most adorable faces around.
The professional crepe maker in action.
Okay, here's another adorable face. He looks so different than I saw him last - that's what happened in two months.
A very happy mama, getting a few minutes cuddle time with her little girl.
Brooklyn was very interested in the baby. She was so cute with him.
You would never guess she had chocolate in her crepe, would you?
Such a shame they don't live closer together, they play so well together. Even getting into their own tickle wars.
Not really sure what this game was, but they were having fun. I only got worried when there were four kids trying to get on her back - that's can't be a good thing. Then it was back to Mom and Dad's. Brandon helped Dad with their new entertainment center and new television. We were entertained by the youngest grand kids, while Russ's family got to relax after a few very busy weeks leading up to the baptism.
Brooklyn thought it was very important to ride the puppy.
And she had to come over to see the baby. I helper her hold him. That just about made her night.
I think they are going to be disappointed when the doors get put on the unit. It's a favorite place for the grand kids to play.
Brooklyn did wind down, and was open to a little bit more cuddling. This time with Aunt Hollie. It was an amazing day. I would love to play it over and over again.
