THEY'RE BACK!!!

I wasn't excited at all about this game. I realize the off season was only a few months, but I needed this release and it felt so great to go yell. I am really hoping the crowd we had in our corner is the same we have for the rest of the season because they were so much fun - not sure I heard any swearing, even though there was still drinking. No one explaining incorrect information or anyone being rude other people - all while still being able to cheer for the team and scream at whatever we wanted. The fact that it ended 4-1, in our favor, is always good. We can now say we made history as Real Salt Lake became the first MLS team to progress to the semifinals in the CONCACAF series. So history would have been made regardless of who won, but it's even better when it's your own team that makes it. For a change, I wasn't mad at the referees the whole game, just the second half when the shoulders and elbows were really flying. It really was a fun time. (First picture is the celebration after Andy Williams final goal, which was beautiful.)
That doesn't look too pretty, does it.
Robbie Williams getting in on the action (I could do without the beard, but it's his "playoff" look.)
Espindola getting his turn. I was actually cheering for him. He had some great time plays.
Plus, he could celebrate with his teammates. Javi's goals were great and deserved a good celebration.
Will Johnson's reaction to his near miss. It was pretty disappointing when it hit the crossbar.
Andy Williams, Ned Grabavoy, Jean Alexandre, and Chris Wingert getting into the celebration. It was a very sweet goal.
Fighting the good fight.
Beckerman in the fight for the ball.
I almost didn't recognize Wingert with the non-shaved head.
For all I know this could have been the last touch before the goal.
Saborio playing through. He scored the first goal.

And now, there is another game to look forward to on the 15th, against the team that started Sabo's career. This could and should be a lot of fun.
