Ryder is 1!

It's hard to believe this little guy is already one. He is such a sweetheart and just about always smiling. However, he doesn't like a crowd and too much noise, so his party might not have been his favorite part of his day. We were all pretty excited because we thought he might be the one to break the Ottley boys' cake anxiety - neither of our other boys have been willing to dive in. I think he may have, but got performance anxiety and everything was too loud for him. Hollie made these cute announcements/invitations - or maybe I am just giving her credit, but they are so stinking cute.
He wasn't so sure about this ball. It did bring a few tears, although right now he looks pretty happy about it all.
He was happier when the ball was away from him and he would push it away from him pretty quickly.
Getting ready for the cake - he doesn't look so sure about things right about now.
The looks on his face were priceless.
He didn't ever really get into it, although he did try to dump it off the high chair.
When he thought no one was paying attention, he would do a little bit with it - although he did really enjoy having his Dad feed him.
That's about as good as it gets.
I was over with miss Brooklyn. She would have completely dived in, but I kept feeding her so we could keep her mess at a minimum.
She was my little birdie. She kept trying to climb into the food and when her cake was done, she was more than willing to help me out with mine.
The final product - we were so thinking there would be much, much more, but he does have his own mind.
Getting him all cleaned up.
Our two babies. Brooklyn was born in November 08 and Ryder in May 09. Good luck getting both of them looking at the camera at the same time.
He almost got into the whole present opening thing, but not really. He was pretty happy to just let his Mom do it for him.
