Tying the Record

The game was against New York Red Bulls; what was at stake was tying the home unbeaten record. This was the with Columbus with their record last year. It's wasn't necessarily the goal to get this kind of record, but lets face it any record that doesn't involve losing is a very good thing. The Red Bulls have several big names in their designated players (which is why one of our players referred to them as the NYDPs). At this point, Real doesn't have any of these players (although we may have to next year so we can keep this year's big scorer. I support this, but I have really liked the idea of not having any and still winning against the big names). So, we won, 1-0. 22 consecutive home games. Nice to tie, but better to break. Still a very fun evening out.
Fabian Espindola taking some heat. As much as I hate to admit this, I have been cheering for him a lot this season. (He would be the player I had a hard time with last year and still do sometimes this year as he isn't the most consistent player.)
Chris Wingert not quite getting the ball, but getting some ground.
Nat Borchers taking the header. He has played in the most games this season. And, when Beckerman doesn't play, he steps in as team captain, except for once when they had Nick Rimando take it.
As usual, Javier Morales gets some attacking. The other team does go after him for a reason.
Ned Grabavoy and Robbie Russell go for the ball.
Going for the ball, and trying to escape another possible foul.
Ned Grabavoy gets in a good header. He's not the tallest player, but he can get some height.
Jamison Olave getting ready to strike.
