AJ was thrilled when we made her get out and take a picture with this sign, but let's be honest, we just don't find that many things with her name on it.
I don't know what these flowers were, but I loved the coloring, so had to get close ups of them.
Then, it was time to head out again. This time we made it as far as Sidney, Nebraska. However, We had quite the adventure again. This time we were on the road when the storm hit again. We turned to the radio just in time to hear something about a tornado warning and something about the location but saying the mile markers - and we had absolutely no idea where we were in comparison. So, we pulled off at the first hotel we could find and found out, yes, indeed, we were experience tornado warning number two of our vacation. AJ expressed all of our feelings on the road when she said she was scared this time. There's something about feeling like you are a very easy target that doesn't sit well.
As we got out of the car to run to the hotel, we were hit by hail. Needless to say, it didn't feel very good. The clouds as the storm gathered:
We lasted through the warning and were able to get a little dinner. Semis were all pulled off the road, so we got to see a lot of them. It was good to go to sleep and realize the danger had passed.
