A favorite show

So maybe the title of this post is a bit misleading. Footloose truly is one of my favorite shows, however, this will not be going down as one of my favorite performances. Maybe it's because I was spoiled by seeing it first at Hale Theater where they do such an amazing job, but I really have seen better. However, I did decide that Willard is probably my favorite character in the show - and he definitely was tonight. He gets a fun song with "Mama Says" and when he's learning to dance it's just fun to watch, especially if the actor really does get into it. I know it's also being performed in Murray Park this summer, and I am thinking I am going to have to see it again with a different cast and different choreography (I just have a hard time with pirouetting and slow moves being done during the song "Footloose." It just doesn't fit.
